Tim Balderston founded iNet Business
Solutions to take care of small businesses, non-profit
organizations, and home computer users. He has worked for
several local and national technology companies such as Valcom,
Cellular One, Vanguard Cellular, and AT&T Wireless.
Tim has also been involved in acquisitions of
companies both within the acquisition process and as part of the
company making the acquisitions. This has allowed him to see
both aspects of what's involved in transitioning multiple
existing networks into the overall integrated network both on a
Regional and National level. Tim's role was that of the only
Voice and Date Engineer instrumental in successfully
implementing the projects, completing them on time and under
budget. At times this even required Tim to learn and implement a
new technology "on the fly" utilizing the resources of both
sides of the acquisition.
His experience in the Pennsylvania regions at
one time consisted of supporting over 43 locations ranging from
business offices, retail centers, and MTSOs. During this time
the local company was one of the first to implement circuits
between the main MTSO to all the satellite sites running both
and data information to save cost and utilize the technologies
offered within the company whether it was via T1/T3/Frame-Relay
signaling or microwave technologies. The regional area
ranged from Lancaster to York, Chambersburg to State College and
all areas in between. Tim is very familiar with the area and
understands the needs and concerns of the local businesses.
Tim's experience with technology began in the
United States Navy as a Communications and Ant-Submarine Warfare
technician holding all possible certifications and
qualifications available as an enlisted Petty Officer. Tim even
held qualifications in cross-trained fields supporting a
helicopter squadron in the San Francisco Bay Area, as one of the
only two on base qualified to be a part of the flight crew
during training missions.
Tim has expanded over the last 18 years since
since he left the military building one of his first Microsoft
Windows PCs when it was first introduced to the mainstream
market at the start of his career.
Another achievement was being the lead
technician in the design, deployment, and support of a local 600
seat call center in the Harrisburg, PA area. His
responsibilities involved hiring contractors, working with the
Telco vendors and construction vendors to ensure a successful
construction project.
Supporting a national Cisco based retail
network and developing a national teleconference solution has
allowed Tim to work in all types of network and office
environments.
